Controversial Development On Commisson Agenda
The fate of Berry Hill, a controversial development proposed for land just west of Dade City, falls to Pasco County commissioners Tuesday after two lower county boards split on recommending the project.
Opponents say the project defies the spirit of county rules aimed at protecting the rural region. Planners say the project is essentially a conservation subdivision ? a land use designed specifically to protect rural land from sprawl.

Candidates To Debate At Political Forums
Candidates will appear for two political forums Tuesday and Thursday staged by the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce.
Both debates start at 5 p.m. They will be presented at Pasco-Hernando Community College West Campus, 10230 Ridge Road. For information, call (727) 842-7651.
The Tuesday slate features candidates for superintendent of schools, Florida House District 46, Florida Senate District 11 and U.S. House District 5 and District 9.
The Thursday slate is clerk of circuit court, supervisor of elections, Pasco County Commission District 3 and District 5 and sheriff.
